SB: "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
2004-04-05, 9:09 a.m.

WARNING!!!! If you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of reading things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is okay to read, save yourself, and me, the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, I.E. my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. This I hope you keep in mind, and thank you for reading.

SUNDAY's EDITION of SPRING BREAK:

Hello all y'all. I've just caught up on everybody's diaries. I hope all of you are having fun because its Spring Break.

First things first, I saw one of the greatest horror movies ever made: "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Do not read the rest of this entry if you do not want to have major plot points revealed.

The movie starts with footage that seems like actual footage of the crime scene. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is INSPIRED by actual events. The footage cuts off from two cops doing a walkthrough of the house that most of it happened in. Then "Sweet Home Alabama" makes you feel really happy and five friends are driving their van talking about how teens their age are getting sexually transmitted diseases. The guy with glasses said that. The guy in the front, Kemper asked "Man, how do you know the dumbest shit?"

There are two teens making out in the back, we'll call the guy Adam because I cannot remember his name. Jessica Biel sat in front and she played Erin. Her boyfriend sits in the driver's seat with her, Kemper. "Tell me how much you love me."

"This much, that's it," she measures out with two fingers.

Then they kiss and then Erin screams "WATCH OUT!"

They swerve past a girl walking on in the middle of the road. They stop and get out and talk to her and notice that she is pretty bloody. "Here, let us help you, we'll take you home, okay?"

The girl gets in the van. The five teens stare at her in the car. "What's your name?"

"You're all gonna die. He's a bad man."

She opens her legs and we only see the teens look away in disgust. Then she takes a gun out from in between her legs and shoots herself! The teens scream and cry that they saw somebody die. They stop at a gas station to report the suicide.

The police officer doesn't want to come all the way out there so he has them go out to a house. They go inside to talk to an old man in a wheel chair. The Sheriff hasn't come yet! Erin asks the man if she can use the phone. Kemper stands outside. After a while, she is done with the phone and then hears the old man, who wheeled his way to the bathroom calling for help. She goes to help him.

Erin, played by Jessica Biel was really good. She's a good actress and she was a lot of fun to watch. She was really good looking and really stole the movie. I like her and I wanna see her in some good movies, not chick flicks.

Kemper goes inside the house to find Erin, who is helping the old man. He goes into the kitchen, which smells. He sees a TV on, and he enters that room. From behind, he is hit in the head by a large man whose face has an odd mask on.

Erin hears and runs to find him. She can't, so she goes back to the rest of the group. "The Sheriff will be here."

"The sheriff already came" says Adam. His girlfriend and the guy with the sun glasses say that he took the girl's body. They look for Kemper. Going back up to the old man's house to find him, Erin talks to the old man, while Adam goes inside. When Erin hears a crash from inside, she goes to help Adam. The old man follows and starts screaming "Get out of my house!"

Adam is okay in the house. The old man pounds on the floor "Bring it." His poundings warn the large man and he opens a large metal door and starts up his chainsaw. They scream and run out into the old man's yard and try to hide in bedsheets that are outside to dry. Adam runs past "Leatherface" and his legs goes right through the chainsaw, severing it.

He is picked up and taken down to a creepy basement, and hanged on a hook by his back, alive. Leatherface is at the sewing machine.

Erin regroups and tries to drive out of there in their 70's van. Then the sheriff comes back. He sees drugs on the ashtray and makes them get out. The sheriff asks the guy with the glasses to show him how the girl killed herself. The boy sits in the seat and the sheriff makes him sit in the blood soaked part of it. Then the sheriff hands him a gun and tells him to put it in his mouth. "Then what happens?"

The boy cries (awesome performance) and says "She shot herself."

"Well, how, the gun doesn't go off just by itself."

So the boy is being asked to pull the trigger in his own mouth. This scene gets insanely thrilling and the boy decides to turn to gun to the sheriff and pulls the trigger: no bullets.

Then the sheriff tells him he's under arrest. This sheriff sure is badass, isn't he? He's pretty bad.

Erin and the other girl are only together now. Leatherface shows up and kills the girl while Erin runs. She looks back to see Kemper's face on Leatherface. Leatherface took Kempers face and that's what he was sewing. Erin runs to a motor home. In there, she sees a family picture of the girl who commited suicide in the beginning. There's a baby in the picture. In the small home, a baby starts crying. "That's not your baby. You STOLE HER!!" she screams at the woman who lives there.

She faints and wakes up in the old man's house. The sheriff is there, the lady at the gas station is there, and leatherface is there, hiding in a dark room. Leatherface is called into the living room and asked to take care of the girl. He throws her in the basement. The basement's floor is water and she gets really wet, and cold. Then she walks through the basement and sees Adam, hanging from the hook. He is in so much pain she takes a knife and kills him so he doesn't have to suffer anymore. Then she sees a body in a bathtub. She looks at his face and he starts squirming and screaming!

It's the boy with the glasses who was taken out with the sheriff. They run and a little boy helps them out of the house. They run in the woods to another home. Nobody lives here. They hide and leatherface looks for them. It's quiet. Erin stand up in the closet she is hiding in and leatherface breaks through the back and grabs her. The teen with the glasses runs out to help her and since the sheriff hand cuffed him, leatherface hangs him from a chandelier. Using his chainsaw, leatherface cuts him in between his legs and the guy with the glasses dies. Erin runs out and past a road. On the other side, through some trees there is a meat company. She hides out in there.

Leatherface walks past her while she's hiding in a locker. She jumps out and starts hitting him with a meat clever and leatherface loses an arm.

She runs back to the town, and is picked up by a trucker. In the gas station, the lady with the baby she stole feeds the baby. Erin steals the baby back.

The baby belonged to the family of the girl who killed herself in the beginning.

Erin gets in a car and the sheriff comes to find her in the truck. He opens the door, and she's not there! She peals out behind him in a car and runs him over. Then she backs up over him and goes forward again to kill him. While she is driving, nice music comes on to show Erin calming the baby down.

For the last scare, leatherface hits the car with his chainsaw.

Erin proceeds to drive away.

The footage from the two policemen comes back on. They walk into the basement and show finger nail scrapes on the walls. There was a fingernail scene in the movie where fingernails were being ripped from the hands. It was nasty, but it didn't bother me! The two police enter the basement. This scene feels like "The Blair Witch Project." The first cop, who is doing the walkthrough, screams and drops. The second, who is hold the camera starts fighting for his life, holding the camera. So there are a few shots of leatherface in black and white.

That's how it ends.

Awesome movie, I was frightened. I give it 9/10 because some scenes dragged on. This movie was produced by Michael Bay, who directed awesome movies like "Bad Boys II" and "Pearl Harbor." See this movie, if you want to be scared. There are some disturbing images, I guess, but the worst scenes are when leatherface is hanging Adam from the hook. I mean, it is pretty painful to watch. Drug content comes from the drugs in the car. It is a good movie though. I enjoyed it.
