"Shrek 2;" "Club Dread;" Summer Start
2004-06-12, 12:54 p.m.

WARNING!!!! If you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of reading things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is okay to read, save yourself, and me, the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, I.E. my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. This I hope you keep in mind, and thank you for reading.

SUMMER VACATION: START

Well, this summer, so far, is starting off almost too good, if that's possible. The last day was a boring half day, there was little excitement, which is damned odd because it's the last day of SCHOOL...for a couple months. It doesn't feel like school is out. The last week was too normal of a week, although it did go unusually slow, even for a four day week. We got out of school and started the long trek to Brady's house, this time, with Justin.

As we walked, we encountered Dan. Brady called Dan on his cell phone, as he passed us, and engaged in a hilarious conversation of "Get back and pick us up...you are a deuche bag."

Dan did surprisingly pick us up. Five of the people in the group ducked down in the back, thank somebody that it was a truck, and two of us rode in the front. I was in the back, the very back, oddly situated next to Chelsey, who said "Let's hope this back door doesn't fly open, or we'll be the first people to be roadkill, BEHIND the truck."

We got to Brady's house, and the first thing we did was watch "Hannibal." I dislike that movie, it is not scary, but sick. It's not really fun either. I think Brady and Chelsey liked it though, so they liked the whole series.

The best part of that day was playing "Catch Phrase." The point of that game is to get your teammates to say a word without saying the actual word. It is a really awesome game and I hope we play that again and again. That took about two hours of the day. Later that night, when we (my dad and I) took Justin home, Justin commented on how he had "not laughed that hard in a while." We were there for twelve hours, watching "Death to Smoochy," and a few South Park episodes. I am thinking of renting the movie, because I am becoming a great fan of South Park.

That night I watched "Traffic" and that is a hard ass drama, but it was entertaining that night. When I watch movies, I go through phases. My favorite phase has to be horror because I have found some great horror movies that I really like. The last few weeks of school, I went through an action phase, but there are so many sucky new action movies that it is hard to find good ones. Right now, I am going through a porno phase. That is probably why I watched "Traffic," it is a dirty movie, and has one scene of sexuality that I wanted to watch. The rest of the movie has some realistic violence.

Yesterday I hung out with Diana all day because The Fat One was at Cedar Point for Choir...that's their end of year trip. That night, we went to see "Shrek 2" with Justin, Chelsey, Matt, Ron, and Brady. That was a good movie, but I just didn't like it better than the first one. It seemed too much like a sequel. It had a bad plot, I say. The movie was REALLY funny though, I was laughing much of the time. I had predicted the part where Shrek turns human, I predicted it before seeing any previews...and I hated that part...it defeated the purpose of the theme from the first one: "Looks don't matter, it's your personality." That's the theme, although it wasn't an actual quote in the movie. BUT, I will say that "Shrek 2" had an awesome ending that made me happy. The animation was awesome. In the beginning when Prince Charming was riding his horse, I thought it was real. If this movie had been the original, then I would have liked it better, I'm sure.

Chelsey had a bonfire later that night, and instead of cooking marshmallows and hotdogs (Chels didn't have any), we bought the candy bar and talked. The talking was so awesome. Everybody had something to say, and it was just so much fun. Sara came. I don't think I have talked about her very much. She really loves softball and is almost obsessed with Orlando Bloom and all the three hour epic movies he has made...and she likes "Pirates of the Caribbean" too.

We talked about so much, and then somehow, we got onto the topic of movies and horror movies. The topic of movies is my specialty, and then I have much to say. I loved talking around the bonfire with everybody, and it is one of those summer paradise things that is just so awesome. McB used to talk to me about how much he loved looking up at the stars. That is similar to my dad. My dad and McB have a lot in common, and thats why Dad asks how McB is doing every other day. Looking up at the stars, listening to the fire, and having nice talks with many friends, are so much fun. Sara is someone I dont hang out with that much, and neither were Matt and Ron. Ron and Matt are two really caring guys. They are so nice, its amazing. Sometimes, the last people on this earth you would suspect being that nice, are the nicest of all people.

That night I had rented Club Dread, which was a lot of fun to watch. That was an awesome movie. There was nudity, which has been my phase of movies I have wanted to see, and there was some violence. However, I was expecting a lot of sex, and it was actually more of a horror movie. It seemed old fashioned, too. The directing was old fashioned somehow, by Broken Lizard. I had never heard of him before this movie. It was a good movie.

Today, I watched that movie again, and have been hangin out with nothing to do. My mom is in a bad mood, so she has tried to pick a fight, but Im not letting her. Soshes making me go to a graduation party in a land far far away.

Its summer vacation, babylive it up.
