"Basic Instinct" and movies to-see
2004-07-14, 3:57 p.m.

WARNING!!!! If you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of reading things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is okay to read, save yourself, and me, the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, I.E. my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. This I hope you keep in mind, and thank you for reading.

Well, I did get to rent and watch "Basic Instinct," which had some really good sex scenes, plenty of nudity, not quite a porno, but much better. It started out with some woman, we don't know who because her blonde hair covers her face, she has a trademark orgasm which Sharon Stone does later in the movie. Jerry Goldsmith provides a very suspensful soundtrack. The blonde woman takes an ice pick and stabs her lover so many times. Blood flies everywhere and he, obviously, dies.

Michael Douglas is the tyoical cop "I've quit smoking" type of guy. He's been in a relationship with his therapist and now is falling for Sharon Stone, who he thinks is the killer but is never sure.

Michael gives an awesome sex scene as a true man-handler. Hardcore, I tell you.

There are many suspects, one being definitly femme fatale Sharon Stone who is very hot and not too shy at all nude in front of the camera. She has sex with Michael, showing her trademark orgasm, which I'm sure has been repeated by many women because of that movie. Sharon is bi-sexual in the movie, and her girlfriend always likes watching her have sex. Right there, another suspect, her girlfriend, who is also blonde. When we're well into the movie, there is also Michael's former lover (who is "truly manhandled"), who becomes a suspect because she went to school with Sharon Stones character. The movie could have been even a little scary. It was an okay movie, with good sex scenes with the directing of Paul Verhoeven, who I'm pretty sure did "Showgirls" and I know he did "Total Recall," and "Hollow Man."

QUOTE of the MOVIE: When asked "What do we do now?" Michael repeats something his partner said, "We fuck like minks, raise rugrats, and live happily ever after."

I went to www.filmratings.com and looked up all NC-17 rated movies and found "Evil Dead." That's directed by Sam Raimi (Spiderman). It is rated NC-17 just for the violence. So hey, that's gotta be my kind of movie. I wanna see it. "Basic Instinct" is R rated for a little violence including an awesome car chase (my favorite part), and a lot of sensuality and content. I must see "Evil Dead" before writing my top ten favorite horror movies. I looked up other people's lists, and never saw "Stir of Echoes," which is one of the few movies that have scared me everytime I watch it. Like "The Ring," it makes me jump. Whenever I jump, I always get excited. That's what makes a horror movie good. Movies like "Freddy vs. Jason" don't scare me, they're just funny to watch. I think all the Jason movies are more funny than scary. The original "Nightmare" is awesome, but the only other one I've seen, "A New Nightmare," was terribly dumb and boring.

In other news, I got my long hair chopped off. The new haircut which doesn't seem like my original hair cut is shaved on the side, and the top is really short. I have short hair once again. I didn't like how the front look, so I told my barbress to cut it shorter, and now I hate it. I hate it. It's not my barbress' fault, it's mine. Dammit.

Anywho, I'm planning on seeing "Anchorman" with Justin sometime soon because "Spiderman 2" (directed by Sam Raimi) will be coming to the Sun theater, no doubt. "Anchorman" should be good, it's not something I must see, but I really do want to see it. "Dodgeball" is also on my list of must-see's and I'm pretty sure that's coming to the Sun also. So "The Sun" will provide me the entertainment I need for the movies. I just hope I don't go up north and pooch-screw my chances of seeing them.

MUST-SEE list: 1. Spiderman 2 and 2. Dodgeball. That's two right now, so pretty short. Short and simple, that's good. I also have a rental movie list: The Hulk, Swimming Pool, There's Something About Mary, and Rain Man. So, I'm keeping busy. I almost rented "The Game" today, directed by David Fincher, but didn't. He also directed "Fight Club." Awesome director. So that's on my list also.
