Who Defends and Empowers the Rapists?
2022-01-06, 9:52 am

WARNING!!!! If you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of reading things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is okay to read, save yourself, and me, the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, I.E. my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. This I hope you keep in mind, and thank you for reading.

trea·son
/ˈtrēzən/
noun
the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.
"they were convicted of treason"
the action of betraying someone or something.

Last night's phone call established a few things: "It is what it is." That's the way it is.
In philosophy, we have the "is/ought" concept - and philosophy OUGHT to help us get to the way things ought to be.
"You should appreciate her more" is the cry - as if she's not appreciated enough. SHE SIGNED UP FOR THIS! Appreciation isn't owed. So I ask...

"If someone cuts off 9 of your fingers...are you appreciative of them for leaving the 10th?"
"Yep. I am appreciative." One can learn to appreciate torture as long as they're left with their lives, then.
And one, therefore, ought to be thankful for such pain.
Trauma is certainly avoidable in this way - and the lessons we take should be great for gains. No pain, no gain, after all.

"I'm the cashier."
If there's a company that's destroying the world, working as a cashier for them should say something about your principles. He doesn't believe so. He believes that the cashier can still have good principles while doing corrupt dealings. Well, aren't we all contributing to corrupt dealings "on some level?" he asks. Why couldn't we ALL be doing better? We could. But he's in the world of destroyed families, there to clean up the rubble. Things surely can't be built the way they were, but they could be rebuilt the way they ought to be. Yet, school and work keeps fathers separated from their sons.

We're not there to blame...it's not the fault of the goddamned middleman. But giving power to one parent and making it harder for the other IS someone's fault - it's the fault of the perpetrator - the rapist.

per·pe·tra·tor
/ˈpərpəˌtrādər/
noun
a person who carries out a harmful, illegal, or immoral act.
"the perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice"

And that power isn't theirs. That power doesn't exist. It's given to them.
Who defends and empowers a rapist?

Well, those who believe they deserve a fair trial - and they do.
WHERE'S MY FUCKING TRIAL? WHERE'S MY FUCKING FAIR TRIAL?
