WARNING!!!! If you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of reading things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is okay to read, save yourself, and me, the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, I.E. my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. This I hope you keep in mind, and thank you for reading.

There's a great philosophy known as "Plato's Cave."
This is partially referenced in "The Matrix," which draws inspiration from a lot of Philosophies and Religions including Christianity.
In the...theory, Plato described men chained up and facing a wall. On the wall, they see nothing except shadows. They make up their own theories for what the shadows are, including the idea that they are their masters and they are their Gods. When the chained men are released, they fear the "real world" because their ideologies are forced to go through great change. I think Plato said they would prefer to be on the wall.
Of course, this wasn't a true story, but the theory is that the human race is scared to learn more about their world.
I believe in God, I pray to God...but I do not believe we have everything figured out. I'm always wanting to learn more.
I believe our love in God is a choice, like love in general. It's a choice we make everyday, although at first science says we can't help it. There are many factors that play in love, and faithfulness is perhaps the strongest. This is the choice...we choose our faith...and that's my problem with the close-minded people (sorry to bring it up again, but generally those on "the right")...they don't choose. Their beliefs are only passed on from their parents...and they rely on "the wall."
"We don't need no education" from Pink Floyd references the zombie point you were making...coincidentally from Pink Floyd's "The Wall." Random thought.
